Welcome to my site!
I live in beautiful Adelaide with my husband and our three dogs, and I’m mum and stepmum of three grown up boys (well, they're men, but they'll always be boys to us!), and step-gran to four gorgeous grandies.
I migrated from Scotland in the dying days of the last century, and living such a full life, I really understand how precious it is to be able to look back at photos to remember both where you've been, and who you’ve been.
My Story
I love capturing the beauty in faces, in creating an environment where people’s spirits shine out through their eyes and glow through their skin. The camera sees that, and people viewing the photos see that too.
If it’s a family photograph it reminds you why you love this person, and if it’s a business or branding headshot it is the best conversation starter. It helps people to like you, know you, and trust you and suddenly you’re visible and you’re claiming your space in the world.
Growing up, I always had a passion for photography. I loved the way that seemingly mundane moments could be captured and transformed into true beauty.
As a child, I'd pore over photojournalism magazines, fascinated by the details of people's lives captured on the page.
In my 20's I picked up an SLR camera for the first time. Film was king and processing was too expensive for a student, so I put the camera down for a moment, and then life happened!
Career, marriage, a child, migrating from Scotland, divorce, meeting and marrying my lovely Steven and a side career in comedy and theatre that brought great friends, travel, and a few awards and nominations.
When I picked the camera up again it felt like coming home.
Nothing matches that feeling of capturing and celebrating the everyday magic - the love and beauty in our world - through our families, friends, and favourite places.
