"D'ya want the snags in the bag, love?"

Hello! Good to see you here.

I can't believe so much has happened since I launched on 15 October - sheesh - was it only 13 days ago? So much has been going on behind the scenes I can hardly keep up with myself - and let me just say I'm not glorifying busy - no one enjoys a day slobbing in front of some great telly more than me - it's just I'm surprised when I look back over the past two weeks and remember what's been happening.

As well as a couple of commercial shoots, which were maximum fun, I've also been working on expanding my family and lifestyle portfolio so that you can get a good idea of what sort of images to expect if you decide to hire me.

I'm also very excited about some upcoming shoots that will push the envelope further in that direction, so stay tuned.

I'm looking at offering mini sessions - these are sessions that are shorter in length with fewer images, and are much more inexpensive, so you can have that luxury photography service without the full-on sessions and prices. These are often themed in some way. Let me know if that idea is tempting.

And finally, I've also been studying like mad. I'm in the middle of my Advanced Photography course right now and love how I can immediately apply what I'm learning.

It's been a year now since I picked up a camera again after a 30-year hiatus. I've been studying furiously, and I have to say that photography has been an absolute haven for me, sanity-wise. I love that I get to focus exclusively on the beauty of the people I meet and the places I go.

At the weekend we were on the way to see some friends and drove past the K Mart at Kurralta Park. That place has memories for me. As a fairly new Australian in the late 1990s I was in the queue at the check out when the cashier priced the sausages being purchased by the woman in front of me and said (very loudly, in a very strong Australian accent) "D'ya want the snags in the bag, love?" For that reason, I cannot drive on that part of Anzac Highway without saying that phrase out loud.

I will keep you up to date here on my adventures, and in the meantime, send me a note via the contact page if you'd like to be first in line for special offers and mini sessions, or would like to receive my (very occasional) newsletter.

Be kind, and stay well.

Maggie
